In addition to food: see what else we love

Even though we don’t keep a ‘day-to-day’ diary, we do believe in cataloging life in many ways. Some might call it a ‘personal resume’, whereas we try to keep mementos from trips, letters from co-workers, and “keep score” of some things. As seen on our YouTube home page, we keep stats on how many flights we’ve taken, how many hotels we’ve stayed in, as well as countries and states visited. We also count how many classes we’ve taught, and how many roller coasters we’ve survived 😊.

Another thing we like to catalog is live performances, especially music. We just absolutely love music. Music excites us, calms us, reduces our stress, and provides a soundtrack to many key moments in our life. Do you have those songs where when you hear them, they just ‘bring you right back’ to that moment in time where you knew what you were doing when it was playing, what was happening, and you can even fill in the memory with a smell to heighten your senses. Music transports us in so many ways. We were not financially able to attend many live shows when were young, so we try to go as much as we can afford today. And with the help of the internet and good friends, we try our best to finagle a way into shows as much as possible. If you could see someone’s resume of where they worked through their life it would tell you about the jobs they’ve done. But think of a more “personal resume” – one that would give you a window into a person’s love of arts and music culture. This is our (so far). And it’s very important to note that we have a *missed section* of shows that we were unable to see and truly wish we had. Life is so precious, and we won’t be able to see those shows again. We strongly urge all of you that if you feel like we do about some music or shows, and you ‘would do anything’ to be there – then we challenge you – make it happen - before it’s too late.
